A home for the affluent middle class in the early 20th century. Mannhem was built in 1907 and was the first multi-family house in a high-rise building at Fridhem. The house, which is built in Art Nouveau style, was designed by the architect August Stoltz and built by the builder Olof Peter Mankell. The house was rebuilt in 1985/1986, which meant that the apartments were rearranged in size and modern lifts were installed. However, many old details were preserved, such as stucco, mirrored doors, profile moldings, and tiled stoves. Today, the house houses 39 apartments spread over the four stairwells. Mannhem was presented by HSB Malmö at the Housing Fair in 1986 and was then presented as a particularly successful example of careful modernization and redevelopment of a culturally and historically significant property in Malmö.
