Forget everything you know about Alsatian Gewurztraminer. This is a bone-dry, mineral and precise wine with an extraordinary herbaceous and complex finish. Gewurz was the biggest r evelation from my latest trip to Alsace, having tasted some really well controlled and balanced wines from slightly cooler and higher sites. There's no blowsiness here, no over the top Turkish delight aromas, just bags of complexity and the potential to age in the most fascinating of ways. Show more
