Manoucheh is a Lebanese popular food consisting of dough topped with thyme, cheese or meat that can be either served for breakfast or lunch. In Arabic the word manaqish (from the a rab root of naqasha ‘to sculpt or carve out’) meaning that the dough has been rolled flat, it is pressed by the fingertips to create little dips for the topping to lie in.
