Description This certified course is given in accordance with the guidelines of the Safety Health and Welfare Act, Manual Handling of loads regulations (General Applications) 2007 which covers the anatomy, the spinal column, related spinal injuries, risk assessment, correct manual handling techniques and the importance of good posture and fitness levels. Assessments All Manual Handling Courses in Ireland require a practical assessment by a qualified instructor to obtain QQI Level 5 certification. You must have the following available at the time of the assessment: A stable internet connection. A computer / laptop with camera and microphone. Comfortable clothing that does not restrict your ability to lift properly. Adequate lighting to allow the assessor a clear view of your assessmet demonstration. A table suitable to hold the load. A suitable load, not too heavy (medium sized box). All online assessments are carried out through English. Duration & Other information You do not have to complete the online course in one sitting and you can also break it into small chunks if you wish. Should you have to leave the course unexpectedly, it will remember where you were the last time you left it.
