Manuka honey is distinctive with its damp earth aromas and slightly bitter aftertaste. Medium sweet, rich in flavor with notes of barley sugar balanced with mineral and herb. Our honeybees forage freely on the nectar produced by manuka flowers in the Central Otago high-country in early summer. For centuries the Manuka plant has been used extensively in traditional Maori medicine and has grown in fame throughout the world for it’s antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties.
