Mapei Mapecem Binder fast-setting hydraulic binder for screeds. Special purpose quick-setting and drying binder for the preparation and placement of floating and bonded screeds on both existing and new slabs for the installation of ceramic tiles, stone material, wood or any other flooring where rapid drying and immediate relaying is required. Mapecem must always be mixed with graded aggregates. Bonded screeds (less than 35 mm thick) and patching first require the application of a Mapecem and Planicrete anchoring slurry. For floating screeds (greater than 35 mm thick) lay a polyethylene sheet beforehand and use aggregates graded from 0 to 8 mm in diameter.
