This is a real Maple Leaf shell with a blue flash Moonstone cabochon. The electroforming process has captured the details and imperfection of nature, while sealing the shell forever in a protective layer of copper. Designed by Mermaid Raven, then electroformed in pure copper and hand oxidized for a beautiful aged look. 3 inches tall by 2.5 inches wide. Moonstone, like labradorite, is a variety of feldspar mineral. When cut en cabochon it exhibits “adularescence” or “Schiller Effect,” which gives flashes of color to the white stone.
