Learn the creative and meditative process of water-based marbling with Kelly Laughlin, artist and bookbinder. Characterized by delicate tendrils of colorful inks and swirling p atterns, pigment sit on top of the water's surface and is moved by breath, brush, or tool. Paper is then set on the surface of the water, capturing the floating lines and shapes. Explore a variety of techniques, discuss how to explore this process at home, and create a collection of marbled paper designs for use in your own creative endeavors.
