Drawing bulbs as they have grown has been absorbing and informative for me. The play of colour, with the soft pastel pigments on a Daler Rowney pastel paper has been something to r eally enjoy. I noticed the changes in flowers as they have grown each day. The flower buds that were at first protected by leaves that remained curled around them, have been exposed on vigorous stems that have thrust upwards from the russet coloured bulbs.
