Hand embroidered 100% cotton unisex shirt We support International Women’s Day and teamed up with artist Amanda Da Pena, hotel You and the Sea, and women’s association Corações Com Coroa. We asked Amanda to create five beautiful shirts inspired by a long tradition of Portuguese women providing. Varinas - Selling fish; they walked the streets carrying their wares in baskets on their heads. Vindimadeiras - Harvesting grapes; they brought back grapes in baskets from the fields. Agricultoras - Feeding the animals; they ensured the community got fed. Ceifairas - Harvesting hay; they cut and returned from the fields with hay under their arms. Amanda, raised in the countryside herself, knew exactly what to do with this. Based on her own experience and the inspiration of strong women, our shirt “MARCH EIGHT” came to life, and we are delighted with the end result. The details in Amanda her hand embroidery are surreal. All proceeds will go to the association Corações Com Coroa, which dedicates itself to women empowerment. As founder Catarina Furtado says, “Supporting a woman is supporting a family, a community, a country.” And we gladly support this. Our unisex shirts are made from 100% cotton upcycled textiles. The threads we use are 100% organic cotton. The buttons are collected from many friends in our community. Limited Edition: We only made 5 pieces of this shirt.
