Marcus Aurelius is shown wearing military armor featuring a Medusa on the chest. Marcus Aurelius Antoninus is one of the most famous Roman emperors (161 to 180 AD), who ruled with his adoptive brother, Lucius Verus, until Verus' death in 169, and with his son, Commodus, from 177.
