Variations of this design appear throughout the ancient Mediterranean, including examples excavated at the Mesopotamian city-state of Mari. In ancient jewelry, granule clusters lik e these are believed to symbolize a cluster of mulberries or grapes, a motif associated with abundance and prosperity. Handcrafted in 22k gold with 20k ear wires. Each granule is individually formed and fused to the next without solder. Approximately 3/8” wide (from side) and 1 5/8” long (including ear wire).
