Hello, lovely painters. Here in the UK, the trees are bare, and the cold wind and rain are doing their winter thing. However, here at the school, we are embracing meadow beauties, with a study of two flower heads - the rich orange of the Marigold, and the heavenly blue of the cornflower. These flowers complement each other and present us with complicated petal layers, and achieving a saturated clarity of pigment. I have attempted a new approach with the centre details and hope you have a go. I am new to this approach too, so I am still learning how to combine pencil and paint to best effect. So, this year I will add some more short technique tutorials to explore our options. Finally, a big warm welcome to our new members and a big warm hello to our existing members and as always, peace and love. Billy
