Oil on MasoniteFramed18x12 Marigolds (Tagetes spp.) are a staple in vegetable gardens. They provide vibrant aesthetic appeal and natural pest control, blooming from spring until fi rst frost. Planted along the edge of the raised bed in our backyard, they released scents that repelled insects and secreted thiophene from their roots to kill nematodes. Exhibit Note:This piece is part of our exhibition "Nature's Breath", on view through August 2, 2026. If purchased, the artwork will remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit, and we will place a red dot beside the piece to indicate that it has been sold.
