A set of three 2 cm Marimo moss balls — tiny, naturally occurring spherical colonies of Aegagropila linnaei algae with a dense, velvety dark green surface. The 2 cm size is ideal for nano aquariums and shrimp tanks where space is limited and proportion matters. The set of three provides a small natural grouping that can be arranged between rocks and wood in detailed aquascape foregrounds.Marimo is one of the most genuinely low-maintenance species available. It grows in low light without CO2 injection and tolerates a very wide range of temperatures and water conditions. Shrimp actively graze on the surface biofilm. Roll them gently between the palms at each water change to maintain their spherical shape and ensure even light exposure on all sides.Simply rinse and place in the aquarium — no planting or attachment needed. They sit naturally on the substrate. Suited to aquariums from 10 litres upward and particularly effective in nano set-ups and shrimp tanks where the small size adds planted foreground detail without taking up significant space. If they float, a gentle squeeze underwater releases any trapped air.
