It's what keeps the gang together in the first two seasons and also what signifies the fracturing of the group in third. The mirroring aspect of the Upside Down brought to my mind the design of playing cards. The alternative reality being a dark, dangerous reflection of Hawkings. I combined these two aesthetics to create this artwork showing Eleven battling a Demogorgon. All created in the style of the old 80's D&D trading cards.
