I didn’t have plans to go to Tahquamenon on this trip but on my way up I got the notion and the further I drove the more my plans changed. Typically, I avoid Tahquamenon due to the sheer volume of people. I had never been in the winter and didn’t know what to expect, I other than an absence of crowds. I decided to take a chance and have an adventure, I headed for Trout Lake, MI for the night, and it was a very cold night. The next morning as I made my way to the falls it was around -18F. Due to the low temperature the atmosphere was very thick and soupy from the ground all the way up. I didn't plan for it, but the full moon was in just the right place.
