The MARS 61445 is a professional-grade 3 pole definite purpose contactor engineered for relentless performance in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. Rated for 40 Amp FLA inductive and 50 Amp resistive loads, this unit features silver-cadmium oxide contacts that significantly extend service life by withstanding heavy inductive switching. Designed with a 24V coil utilizing Class F insulation, it provides reliable 600V rated operation across demanding 3-phase cooling and heating applications. For technicians, the MARS 780 contactor series simplifies field maintenance with an enclosed body design that prevents dust and insect intrusion while dampening operational noise. The large arch window box lugs facilitate clean wire termination, and the dual set of quick-connect coil terminals allows for efficient jumper arrangements. This model is a direct-fit replacement for Furnas 42CF35AJ and Siemens equivalents, ensuring seamless integration into existing commercial condensing units and air handling systems without modification. Key Benefits: Engineered Durability: High-performance copper and brass conductors minimize heat generation and internal resistance for cooler operation. Field Serviceability: Includes a removable cover for full contact access and field-replaceable coils to reduce truck stock requirements. Contamination Resistance: A heavy-duty thermoplastic housing protects internal components in harsh environments. Universal Mounting: Features a standard foot print compatible with existing equipment for fast drop-in replacement. Common Questions: Can this contactor replace a 30 Amp model? Yes, the MARS 61445 can upgrade a 30 Amp 3-pole contactor as it provides a higher amperage overhead while maintaining the same physical footprint and 24V coil voltage. What is the proper torque for wire connections? To ensure safe operation and prevent arcing, box lugs on 40A units should be torqued to 40 inch-pounds. Does this support auxiliary switches? Yes, the housing includes side attachment rails compatible with MARS 780 or Furnas auxiliary switches for additional control logic. This item is not eligible for free shipping.
