From the 1 hectare Clos de Roses vineyard found just below the village of Pommard and hand-harvested from 45 year old vines, this Pinot was 100% whole cluster fermented using indigenous yeast for 18 days before spending 12-18 month in oak (none of which is new). Compellingly natural. Since 2010, Pierre-Henri Rougeot has been quietly producing incredible, minimal intervention, and low-sulfur wines in the village of Meursault when he took over his family's property, which was purchased by his great-great-grandfather in the 19th Century. Inspired by those within the vins natures movement—many of whome are his personal friends—Pierre-Henri chooses to produce his Burgundies with a light touch, farming organically and using minimal to no sulfur, all while balancing the natural with traditional Burgundian techniques. During vintages which can support it, Pierre-Henri chooses to utilize no sulfur (aka sans soufre) and for these special vintages he utilizes his diagonally sloped labels. 13.0% ABV
