Martinique Beach is the longest, sandy beach in Nova Scotia. On any given day you can find groups of surfers, beach-goers, and Piping Plovers. Once threatened, these tiny shore birds have started to make a comeback. They were even featured on special edition Nova Scotia license plates to support conservation efforts. Everyone roots for the underdog, and that's what Plovers mean to me. Who doesn't like a good comeback story? Each of our original artworks is unique. It starts with a canvas made from a carefully handcrafted wood frame, fitted with wooden slats that are milled to various depths to give our artwork its signature and one of a kind texture.
