Portrait of Mary Nisbet, Francois Gerard, 1803. The paintings are laser printed and mounted to greyboard with wood glue. Tea-stained cotton and wood frames are added and the edges finished with air dry clay. They are painted to match the prints and represent the painting process. They are then treated with matt acrylic varnish. The edges are marked with nail holes, made by pinning small holes and darkening them. I have applied various marks to the backs of the paintings, aged with pencil, paint, chalk and varnish. Size: 2.7 x 3.2 x 0.15 cm Varnish is far from indestructible. Please treat your paintings with common sense - don’t scratch, wet, or rub them, keep them out of direct sunlight, don’t expose them to excessive warmth. If you lean them with other pictures or pieces, be careful of sharp edges or points, move them every now and then, and store them separately in hot weather to prevent them sticking. All paintings used are public domain; I have edited them in various ways so they translate to miniature. Show more
