Orders for the Walk will be open until 10/6! A message from Mason's Family -- Mason (aka Mase) is an awesome 10-year-old born with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss. Through early identification, Mase was able to receive his hearing aids at 7 weeks old and receive early intervention services shortly after. Although his hearing aids help amplify sounds, they cannot “cure” or provide “normal” hearing. We walk to bring awareness that hearing loss isn’t only something that the elderly experience. Only a small population of children have some form of hearing loss and families/parents shouldn’t feel alone. We were blessed to have an amazing support team - our early intervention therapist, our audiologist from HUMC, the staff at Summit Speech School (SSS), and of course, our family and friends. 💖 Mason is thriving and currently attends our local public school. You can catch him playing basketball, drawing/creating comics, playing video games, and hanging out with friends. He continues to amaze us and is our reason for walking. He looks forward to this annually and we hope you can join us, support the cause and show him some love!
