There is no glaze on this pot. It’s 100% color, texture and shine by natural wood-firing. Mashalu successively fires different wood species to give layers of color and texture in an extremely high-heat four-day "ash-fall" process. It's not easy and takes the vigilance of four 24-hour days. The color and texture don’t really come out in the pictures. Please maximize to get a better idea - although pictures may show slight variation in the actual color. Clay is tested and fired for more than 100 hours at 1200 deg. Celsius. Please enjoy.
