All students are required to have taken at least Zorn Palette in Oils. All materials are supplied and included in costs in Katz Atelier classes. In this course we learn how to paint like the masters, interpreting their brush work, shape design and colour choices. We will do one 8 week long study, the choices are the images shown on this course page. You MUST let me know which painting you wish to attempt well before class starts so I can have the correct board and print set up for you, please choose something appropriate for your skill level (Message me if you need help deciding). Some images are available in books I own, others you may need an ipad or laptop to view the master studies as you paint, or you can print it out. Artists are; Frazetta, Tyler Jacobson, Brom, Mian Situ, JC Leyendecker, Dean Cornwell, Haddon Sundbloom, Rockwell, Zorn, Sorella I am open to studies choosing a different master study, but it will need to be discussed and you will be required to do the line work and print it for the graphite rubbing.
