Matala offers several top-of-the-line Air Diffuser Assemblies Choices for your pond or Lake. These air diffuser assemblies feature a hollow heavy-duty rugged base that can be filled with sand or gravel. This eliminates the need for bricks and straps to get the diffuser to sink. Available in both a single disc, dual disc, or quad disc assemblies. The lower profile units are designed to be used with Ponds. The higher profile units (where the diffusers sit on top of a riser) are designed to be used with lakes with muddy bottoms. The Air Discs are held up out of the mud with a riser pipe. The base comes with a friendly multi-barb that will allow connection to various sizes of air hose including 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" and 1".The Matala EPDM disc diffusers are designed for industry heavy-duty installation. Precision perforated I-shaped slits open when airflow is present and close when airflow is stopped, which increase the slits resist from tearing, and stay cleaner longer.
