Place: Roussillon, France Grape: Muscat Petit Grains + Macabeu Vibe: Saline The grapes come from formerly abandoned, now recultivated vineyards, at 500 to 600 meters altitude. Ferm ented whole, no destemming here, before time in stainless steel. After gentle pressing, the wine ages eight months on lees in large 2,000-liter concrete tanks. Bottled unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfites. This is herbal and zesty. Firmly tropical but with that unmistakable garrigue character always lingering in the backdrop.
