Super small-batched, unique matcha peanut butter from Chiba, Japan. The matcha is a first-flush blend chosen by Kotaro Shinbara, fourth-generation tea connoisseur of a century-old Kagoshima teahouse. Tasting notes are gentle peanut sweetness first, followed by a delicate matcha aroma that lingers. The peanuts are hand picked in the fields, and go through several rounds of hand-selection. Any peanuts that don't meet their strict standards are weeded out, and made into dog biscuits that they donate 50% of their proceeds to dog shelters. They dry their peanuts in the field for 3 weeks (peanuts from China and the US are usually "dry blasted" in one day- which apparently takes out any inherent sweetness from the peanut).
