During this relaxed 45-minute session, Keiko will guide you through a tasting of three different matchas, including both organic and single-origin matcha, each with its own character, flavour and aroma. The matcha will be served with a traditional Japanese sweet to complement the tasting. As you taste each matcha, Keiko will explain what makes them different, from cultivation and production methods to grade, flavour and texture. She will also share her knowledge of how to recognise quality matcha and what to look for when choosing one to enjoy at home. Keiko believes that you can make the best matcha at home, so she will also share her tips and techniques for preparing delicious matcha yourself, helping you to get the most from your tea once you leave the workshop. This is a relaxed and approachable introduction to the world of Japanese matcha, whether you are completely new to it or already enjoy drinking it.
