In this Material Fade Reference Studio, we look at how to utilise the Curve Fade animation tool along with Gradient textures and colour composites to produce a dynamic transition b etween materials that can be modified to work with a wide variety of styles. The scene comes loaded with two studios - one to demonstrate the basic effect and one with the looping animation shown here. Within the animation, there are three separate effects: Dipped glaze, wood growth and 3D print. Like all our reference studios, the scene is also accompanied by a video walkthrough to help you understand how the file works and why we made certain choices.
