Matiz is an Aran weight 100% wool yarn produced from the wool of Portuguese native breeds Campaniça and Merino Preto. Retrosaria Rosa Pomar worked with the natural white Campaniça wool and natural black Merino Preto wool to create the color palette of Matiz: the undyed white shade A is made exclusively from the Campaniça wool, the undyed dark brown shade D is 100% Merino Preto, and shade C is a mix of these two natural shades of wool. All other shades were dyed in the wool, using different proportions of each quality to obtain the most suitable base for each beautifully heathered hue. Retrosaria Rosa Pomar makes minimally processed heritage wool yarns from Portugal. Their yarns are created in collaboration with small manufacturers, breeders associations, and shepherds. All Rosa Pomar yarns are non-superwash, not bleached, have no silicone-based softeners, and mulesing is not practiced in Portugal. Show more
