The Amberol dispersal matting and capillary action wicks distributes the water evenly to the compost overlaying it, keeping it optimally moist as all times. As a result, evaporation is kept to a minimum and plant roots absorb only the water they need, thereby keeping plants healthy and strong for longer. Please Note: All of our Self-Watering Planters come with the dispersal matting and capillary action wicks as standard. Purchasing separate matting is only required if you wish to replace the current matting in an existing planter.
