Matusko farms steep, terraced vineyards in Dingač on Croatia's Pelješac peninsula, home to Plavac Mali at its most concentrated. This Royal Selection spends time in barrique, addin g structure and polish to a grape already built for power and longevity in one of the country's most demanding sites. Expect a dense, dark-fruited red with firm tannin and a savoury, sun-warmed edge - the kind of wine that stands up to grilled beef, lamb and cured meats without flinching.
