Like a Post Rammer, a Fencing Maul is used to knock in round fence posts. It is a large hammer with a broad flat striking surface for the top of fence posts. Our Mauls have fibregl ass handles that help absorb the shock and vibrations generated when striking the fence posts. A maul should be used in preference to a sledgehammer for knocking in posts.
