Maxima Chameleon has been a popular leader and tippet material for a long time, especially here in the Northwest. It is the toughest and and most abrasion resistant nylon from Maxi ma. It is stiffer and a bit thicker in diameter than some other materials but sometimes that stiffness is desirable -- such as for turning over large flies or for an abrasion resistant sink-tip leader for steelhead or salmon.
