This is the first vintage of Máximas that has been released, with only 5000 bottles produced. WINE MAKING Thinning and selection of clusters in the vineyard. Manual harvest in 15kg crates. Selection of clusters and berries in the winery. Pre-fermentative carbonic maceration. Microvinification with indigenous yeasts in concrete eggs and 500 litre French oak barrels. The palate is broad and enveloping, yet elevated with a sharp tense freshness that continues to the finish, flavours of blueberries combine with black pepper and fresh local herbs such as jarilla and suico. the tannins are very ripe and sily, leading to a powerful and profound finish.
