A firm red bean with a rich flavor and superb pot liquor. When our friends at Xoxoc sent the sample, our immediate reaction was “Not another red bean! No!” But these were so delici ous we had to say yes. This rare, regional bean is grown by a farming co-operative in Chiapas. For those who demand the best beans for their red beans and rice, the bean broth is the key ingredient. A superior red bean will create a sauce that perfectly coats each grain of rice, and Mayan Reds deliver. Show more
