MoMA Exclusive: For this Maze throw, designer Osamu Mita utilized the traditional technique of Kiryu weaving, which he learned in his hometown of Kiryu City, Japan. The process inv olves weaving threads in a square shape, with each thread cut by hand. The jacquard pattern of this throw is an homage to a famous puzzle game. Made in Japan from 74% wool and 26% acrylic, this soft and warm throw is made to get cozy under and is also an eye-catching accent for your sofa or bed. Osamu Mita has work in MoMA’s collection and his designs were featured in the Museum’s 1998 exhibition Structure and Surface: Contemporary Japanese Textiles. The Maze Wool Throw measures 69l x 44"w.
