Among its many upgrades, the Robur S improves upon its younger sibling by retaining up to 52% less ground coffee than the previous iteration. Utilizing 71mm conical burrs running at 420-RPM, The Robur S is capable of grinding 6 grams of espresso per second, resulting in a remarkably swift 18-gram dose in just under 3.5 seconds, making the Robur S ideal for high volume cafes. By coupling large conical burrs with a dual fan cooling system, Mazzer has ensured that heat transfer is kept to an absolute minimum, reducing the risk of varying shot times and the need for recalibration during peak hours. Upgraded Technology One of the most eye-catching features of the Robur S is the modernized control panel above the dosing funnel that sports a new, larger LED display than what was seen on the Robur E. The updated control panel allows for a wide range of features that include (but are certainly not limited to) programmable single, double, and triple dose buttons: all of which can be adjusted in increments of 1/100 of a second, a total and partial dose counter, and the ability to send service alerts regarding burr replacement and firmware upgrades. Additionally, the Robur S is equipped with Mazzer's innovative Grind Flow Control System, allowing for the Robur S to be fitted with one of three different wire dampers to best suit a cafe's needs according to the coffee's origin, roast profile, and weather conditions. User Friendly When making the upgrades to the Robur S, Mazzer was clearly focused on the ease of use, cleaning, and maintenance to the grinder. While this is demonstrated in several areas, one of the most impressive is the capability to remove the newly designed adjustment collar without losing or changing the current grind setting. Mazzer also implemented a new adjustable reference dial that is separate from the adjustment collar, which makes resetting the zero point as simple and painless as possible.
