Fixed DAC or Variable Digital Preamplifier Both the balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs can operate at fixed or variable level. Variable output allows the DS200 to control volume directly when connected to a power amplifier, creating a streamlined all-digital system. The fixed output level is 2 volts through RCA and 4 volts through XLR. In variable mode, output is adjustable up to 8 volts through RCA and 16 volts through XLR.
