The Flashlight consists of a MDC 16650 Handheld Body and a MDC XPL V3 EZP Head. The body is one piece with a McClicky Switch and Black Nitride Stainless Steel Pocket Clip Installed. The options for the Pocket Clip may be chosen with the buttons above. It DOES NOT have a removable tailcap. It is constructed of 6061 T6 Aluminum and is HA Black Type III Hard Anodized. This design utilizes a custom orange peel reflector designed by Don McLeish. The reflector offers a very nice balance of throw and spill. It is an outstanding room lighter with short to medium reach. Great for lighting treetops from ground level. The body is designed for a single protected 16650 rechargeable battery. We encourage the use of protected batteries for overall safety. The optional Titanium Deep Carry MDC Pocket Clips are custom designed and manufactured by LynchNW exclusively for the Malkoff Devices line of MDC Pocket Lights. They are made of Grade 5 6AL-4V Titanium with a Stone Washed Finish. These pocket clips prevent the user from standing the flashlight on its tail. MODE GROUPS L-M-H (default) L-H M-H H (only) H-M-L H-L H-M PROGRAMMING THE LIGHT (watch the video) The light is programmed using a series of short and long button presses. A short button press is a short momentary (0.5 second) button press. In most cases latching the switch is not necessary. To enter Programming Mode perform 20 short button presses. It is not necessary to count or be exact. Simply perform short presses until the light begins to fast strobe. Hold the long button press. The light will fast strobe for approximately 5 seconds. Continue holding the long press. After the strobe, the light will emit single flashes at 2 second intervals. Count the number of flashes and release the button when the desired mode group (number of flashes) is reached. Releasing the the button during the fast strobe will reset to default (L-M-H). PROGRAMMING EXAMPLE To make your light single mode high only. Short press until the light starts strobing. Hold the press. Once the strobing stops - Release the button after the 4th flash. STAINLESS-STEEL BEZEL OPTION The stainless-steel(SS) bezels fit this head and any MDC head that uses a reflector.
