These placemats with binding by French maker, Maison de Vacances are just the best. Classic, chic. We have been known to use them the placemat size for napkins also. They are a lin en, cotton blend and wash beautifully. Spill something just Spray & Wash or Oxyclean it and wash in cold. We have been known to spill those delicious, colorful Mexican soft drinks on ours and the stains came out - we can't guarantee results for you, but we feel great about using these for ourselves.
