The electricity is measured using a Volt Meter, as opposed to an ORP Meter which measures the Potential of Oxidation Reduction, which is completely different than Electrical Voltage. An ORP Meter tends to correlate best with the presence of Molecular Hydrogen in the water as well as the pH of the Water. Usually a higher pH as well as the presence of Molecular Hydrogen will give a Negative ORP rating, which is a great thing, yet it is measuring ORP, not the Negative Electrical Charge. This can be confusing, as the ideal ORP measurement is a Negative Number reading also! The two measurements are not the same though...so you will not be able to test the Negative Charge achieved with the MEABlue using an ORP meter.
