Meadow chaff has all the benefits of hay except its chopped smaller and can be easily mixed with other feeds to increase chewing time, additional fibre and energy. Feeding Advice: An average horse of around 16.1hh and in light to moderate work will need to eat 1.5-2% of its bodyweight in forage intake each day. At least half of that should be in grass or hay or forage. So our average horse (500kg) will need to eat about 10Kg forage per day to maintain condition.
