18k Gold, Quartz, Sapphires, White Enamel Size 7 Meandros or meander is a decorative border constructed from a continuous line, shaped into a repeated motif, such as running scroll s. Also known as the Greek Fret or Greek Key design, though this decorative motif appears much earlier than the Greeks among Near and Far eastern cultures. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Maria Apostolopoulou revives and reinvents the ancient art of Glyptography, specializing in seal stone carving, gem sculpture, reverse intaglio, art medal, and coin engraving. Her limited edition glyptic jewels are exhibited in galleries, museums, and cultural foundations, while also designing jewelry for renown jewelry brands and museum stores.
