A huge abandoned castle in Italy. Fairytale like and an unfinished dream for a lovestruck man. There is a lot of conflicting information as to the castle's history, but from what I could find, it seems like this medieval castle was built at the end of the 11th century. It was originally used for military purposes such as a practice ground for knights and soldiers. Throughout the castle walls are wall decorations depicting knights, sporting activities and love stories. Over time the castle has been renovated and changed many times, including the construction of the 48-metre high tower. By the early 1920s the castle had been completely restored, and has since fallen into disrepair and been left abandoned.
