MediHerb Bacto-Cand GI’s modified release capsules contain high quality extracts of Andrographis standardised to andrographolide and Phellodendron standardised to berberine, along with oregano and anise oil. Indications: Andrographis is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine to support healthy digestion, liver function and gastrointestinal system health Phellodendron is traditionally used in Chinese medicine to reduce loose stools, relieve diarrhoea, resolve dampness and disperse heat Aniseed essential oil is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine as a carminative, relieving flatulence and abdominal bloating Directions: Adults: 1-2 capsules 3 times daily, before food. Ingredients: Each capsule contains: Phellodendron amurense (Phellodendron) extract 80 mg derived from min. stem bark dry 1.6 g standardised to contain berberine 38 mg Andrographis paniculata (Andrographis) extract 100 mg derived from min. whole plant dry 1 g standardised to contain andrographolide 10 mg Anise oil (Pimpinella anisum) 125 mg Origanum vulgare (Oregano) leaf essential oil 75 mg Warnings: Andrographis may cause allergic reactions in some people. If your patient has a severe reaction (such as anaphylaxis) stop use and advise immediate medical attention. Andrographis has reports of causing taste disturbance including loss of taste.
