A nice medium between solid metal billets and soft antler billets, copper bopper style billets will 'pull' a flake off of a stone core leaving less damage and micro fractures in your piece than many of the alternatives. After extended use, the copper cap will eventually wear through and/or the cap will become deformed enough to push the head off of the billet.
