This medium handbuilt porcelain moon vase comes from Portland ceramicist Tonya Abel's studio. The porcelain has a full, rounded body that narrows to a small opening at the top, giv ing the piece a soft, moonlike silhouette. Its surface is left unglazed and matte, so the porcelain itself carries all the texture and warmth. The vase's large scale makes it a quiet, standalone piece on a shelf or table, equally at home holding a single stem or standing empty.
