Shandong, circa 1900 These little wooden stools were produced from elm wood at the beginning of the twentieth century in the Shandong province, northern China. Originally they woul d have been used by agricultural workers or factory workers. The elm wood has aged and weathered over the years to give a wonderful, homely, rustic look. Great to use today as a step, for seating little ones, or as small side tables. Each stool varies in terms of size and style so the dimensions shown are meant as a guideline only.
