Méduse explores light as a surface condition rather than a point source. Shaped as a continuous volume, the lamp conceals the light within its body, allowing illumination to filter outward through the form and interact subtly with its surroundings. The undulating silhouette introduces gentle variations in light and shadow, giving the object a sense of movement despite its static form. Printed as a single piece, the lamp retains visible traces of the additive manufacturing process: fine surface variations that speak to its method of production and ensure that each piece remains slightly unique. Rather than directing light, Méduse softens it. The lamp functions as both an atmospheric light source and a sculptural presence, suited to interiors where illumination is meant to support mood rather than dominate attention.
